Our Community Knowledge Shares are FREE workshops, on Sundays from 11-2pm in the Locavore Community Garden, Martello Primary, Warren Way, Folkestone CT19 6DT. We invite you to learn alongside Custom Food Lab Director and Diaspora Garden founder Charmaine, who has invited a series of food growing ‘elders’ to share their knowledge on different aspects of growing and working with the land.
WORKSHOP NUMBER 3: COMPOSTING
Sunday December 11th, from 11am-2pm
We are welcoming Amy and Jess from @heartandsoilcommunity to the Locavore Garden to share their love of composting; the importance of good, earth friendly soil; the science of green and brown waste and how to build your compost heap; how to look after your compost with the rhythm of the seasons and to answer any questions you might have as we go!
The sessions are interactive, so all ages, abilities and levels of knowledge are welcome (including absolute beginners!).
There’s no need to book, just bring yourselves and as always, families are welcomed into the garden 🌱
